Welcome! My name is Braden Hiltz and I am currently in the nursing program at the University of New England. For most of my life I knew that I wanted to be in the medical field. My mom, sister, and brother are all professionals in the field and they have always told me of incredible stories they had at work. That just cemented my mindset of making a difference in this world to promote health and prevent illness. Being a male in the nursing field does come with stereotypes but I am eager to break those and show that anyone can be a nurse if they want too, even if it is uncommon. I just want to help as many people as I can and be an emotional rock for those who are dealing with any type of unprecedented experiences. I am excited to learn in the field of nursing and grasp as much knowledge as I can to be able to help those who are in need.
